The 2016 convention team appreciates your help promoting the National Speleological Society! We have prepared some web banners that may be used by any internal organizations of the society to support the 75th anniversary celebration in July of 2016.
If your region or grotto maintains a website, please consider linking to our convention site using these graphics. You'll have to log in to see them and download the code though - this material is only meant to be used on websites representing the society's many internal organizations.

Variscite is a bright green to yellowish green phosphate mineral with a chemical composition of AlPO4.2H2O. It has been produced from a few locations in Nevada and can be cut and polished into beautiful cabochons. Variscite is often found associated with turquoise because both minerals form above the water table in the near-surface environment and require a source of phosphate.
